How long can you keep yourself confined in the cold convenient cozy space; you will have to walk out now or than and face the heat. The summer this time is breaking all records, so you need to stay appropriately hydrated. How do you achieve that?

Incorporate these diet suggestions in your routine and reap the benefits by staying fit and active throughout the testing summer season.

Salads

There’s no better first meal of the day than a scrumptious bowl of salad. And it’s always good to keep it a healthy blend of fruits and green veggies. Some of the ingredients that you can mix and match for different salad combinations are lettuce, bell peppers, jalapenos, strawberries, carrots, broccolis, tomatoes and beans. You can also use non-fat salad dressing to increase the taste quotient!

Wholegrain Cereals

Eating a diet high in fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants is a catalyst of good health. Cereals like wheat, rice, corn, oats, rye, barley and millet lower down the risk of heat stroke and skin rashes. Include them in your diet and fuse them with kale, mustard greens, broccoli, and cabbage.

Alternatively, you can also indulge in having muesli and oatmeal cereals. Buy muesli here online

Shakes and Smoothies

Shakes and smoothies make the perfect summertime dessert. Blend ice cream, frozen berries, and whole milk for a rich treat that's sure to beat the heat. You can also opt for a banana, mango or apple; whichever fruit you love the most.

Healthy Drinks

Summer time is the time for savoring healthy drinks. These drinks do not only taste good, they also keep you invigorated during the course of the day. Here are a few suggestions: -

1. Raspberry Cordial: Type the keyword, the world’s healthiest foods on Google, and on top appears Raspberry.  The phytonutrients in the fruit control the enzyme activity, oxygen consumption, and heat production in body cells. Preserve the flavors of a batch of raspberries in this refreshing concentrated drink - delicious with soda on ice.

2. Citrus Iced Tea: It’s more beneficial to drink unsweetened iced tea versus Pepsi, coke, soda and sweetened juices that are heavy in sugar. The citrus element will provide additional vitamin C that will cut down the risk of you falling prey to heat-related illnesses such as heat rash and heat exhaustion.

3. Cucumber Sangria: Nonetheless is more wonderful than the humble crunchy cucumber. This low calorie vegetable has more nutrients to offer than just water and electrolytes. Create a fusion of Sauvignon Blanc, cucumber, honeydew melon, and mint leaves to quench your thirst in a healthy style.

Squash It Sandwich

Stuff the buns with naturally sweet vegetables—such as corn, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, yams, onions, and squash—add healthy sweetness to your meals and reduce your cravings for added sugars

Fruits

Fruits are a tasty, satisfying way to fill up on fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. Berries are cancer-fighting, apples provide fiber, oranges and mangos offer vitamin C, and so on.Try to eat a rainbow of fruits and vegetables every night as deeply colored fruits and vegetables contain higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.  Consumer fruits that have some cooling properties. Like watermelon, apricot, cherries, gooseberries, blueberries, papaya apple etc.
